Concerned Citizens for Justice
Concerned Citizens for Justice (CCJ) was founded in 1982 in the wake of the Wadie Suttles case to address, publicize and protest police brutality in Chattanooga, TN. CCJ was reactivated in 2012 after the murder of Trayvon Martin by activists, students, union organizers in hopes of reenergizing the Black Liberation Movement in Chattanooga, TN.
Working Films
Working Films builds partnerships between nonfiction media makers, nonprofit organizations, educators and advocates to advance social justice and environmental sustainability, and support community-based change.
Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition
The Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition's mission is to organize and maintain a diverse grassroots organization dedicated to the improvement and preservation of the environment through education, grassroots organizing and coalition building, leadership development and media outreach.
Appalshop
Appalshop is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary arts and education center in the heart of Appalachia producing original films, video, theater, music and spoken-word recordings, radio, photography, multimedia and books.
Alternate ROOTS
Alternate ROOTS supports the creation and presentation of original art that is rooted in community, place, tradition or spirit. Alternate ROOTS calls for social and economic justice and is working to dismantle all forms of oppression – everywhere.
